It nourishes yin of the lung and heart, it clears heat by nourishing fluids, relieves cough due to dryness and clears phlegm due to dryness, it calms the mind due to vexation by heat.
Bai he, Lilii bulbus is sweet tonifying, nourishing and cooling of the spleen, lungs, liver and heart. It is more nourishing than tonifiying. It nourishes lung and heart yin while mildly clearing deficiency heat.
Bai he tonifies blood in jue yin, and the upper source of water and this restores upper burner yin fluids and moistens dryness.
