Chinese Herbal Medicine Educations
Sharing my passion for Chinese Herbal Medicine
Promoting and teaching the application of classical Chinese formulas.
Why study classical formulas from the Shang Han Lun Za Bing Lun?
What we now consider the basis and genius of Chinese Medicine was born in the Shang Han Lun.
The Shang Han Lun is regarded as the basis for pattern recognition that was later on developed in the Qing dynasty as is now considered the genius behind Chinese medicine.
It reflects a theoretical understanding of the Huang Di Nei Jing, Nan Jing, and Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing. These classics are the foundation on which our modern educations are based. We see the theories of yin yang, five elements and six primary and secondary climatic qi in the formulas and application of the formulas to treat patterns of disharmony.
So can we apply this knowledge to each and every herb and formula. Indeed studying classic formulas is a way of understanding normal physiology and pathology and Chinese medicine at the same time.
Sharing my knowledge and passion in the classroom is my way of giving back. I would easily call myself an herbal nerd and I am sure my passion for Chinese Herbs is contagious.
